Johnny Chan wurde 1957 in Hong Kong geboren.

9 goldenen Armbänder stammen aus der World Series of Poker von 1987 und 1988, Limit Holdem 1985, Seven-Card Stud 1994, Deuce to Seven Draw 1997, Omaha Pot Limit 2000, No Limit Holdem und Pot Limit Holdem 2003. Das letzte Armband stammt aus einem Match zwischen Armbandgewinnern. Diese Veranstaltung war eine Folge von „Head up Matches“ und die letzten beiden Spieler waren Chan und Phil Hellmuth Jr. Dieses Mal ging Chan als Sieger hervor. 2002 wurde er in die „Poker Hall of Fame“ aufgenommen.

PS: Mittlerweile sind es übrigens 10, er hat 2005 ein weiteres bei der WSOP gewonnen: 2005 Pot-Limit Hold'em Event

He'd Re-tie Phil Hellmuth's Most Bracelets Record With Victory
Phil Hellmuth just broke a three-way tie and took the top spot as the guy with the most World Series of Poker bracelets in history when he won the $1,500 no-limit event Monday. Today, Johnny Chan has a chance to re-tie Hellmuth and win his 11th bracelet. There are 23 players left and he is third in chips in the $1,500 pot-limit Omaha event.

Chan is tied with Doyle Brunson on the most bracelets won list with 10.

Chan is one of the most accomplished WSOP players. Chan won back-to-back WSOP main event bracelets in 1987 and 1988. He had 35 WSOP cashes going into 2007. If Chan makes the final table, it will be his 27th, which would put him all alone at fourth on that list. He's now tied with fourth.

johnny chan ist auch einer meiner lieblingsspieler , schade dass er beim plo 1500er wsop-event nicht sein 11tes bracelet geholt hat.

Chan ist zwar ein ziemlich guter spieler aber sein stil ist doch total kitschig.

mit stil meine ich seine kleidung und haus.

ich finde nur gut wie er poker spielt, was er für ein haus oder kleidungsstil hat ist mir herzlich egal wobei die hawai-hemden schon ziemlich ktischig sind

Johnny Chan is lässig. Seine Hemden passen auch zu ihm. Is ja keine Gothicveranstaltung - das pokern - ne?!
