Scott "Sctrojans" Freeman and Chad "Lilholdem954" Batista are Having Two of the Best Months Ever in Online Poker
You look at the month that Chad "M8kingmoves" Batista has had and think that no one could possibly be having a better month than he is. However, Scott "Sctrojans" has done just that. Combined, these two have had more major cashes than any two players that I can remember in any single month.
Let's start with Scott "Sctrojans" Freeman. Just last night, he took down the $1k FTP tourney for $67k. From what I can see, "ScTrojans" has taken down seven tournaments so far in September. That's a $67k cash, a $25k cash, a $24k cash, another $24k cash, a $5k cash, a $16k cash and then to top it off, an $18k cash. And this is just for his first place finishes! He also has multiple five digit cashes for tournaments that he didn't take down. This is just for September!
Chad "Lilholdem954" Batista has had an exceptional month as well. He final tabled a Limit Hold'em WCOOP event; he took down a Super Tuesday event on PokerStars for over $91k; and in addition to that, Batista took down multiple other tournaments this month, including a $37k score on Full Tilt Poker Poker, and a $29k and $23k score on PokerStars. Just a sick month, and when you include his cash game results, it's even sicker.
"Sctrojans" and "Lilholdem954" are undoubtedly the two hottest players in poker right now. It's really not even close.

The Canadian-born Sorel “Imper1um” Mizzi has become a top-ranked Internet pro, but not before struggling through some hardships. In early 2006, he decided to make it a resolution of sorts to become an online tournament master. He thought his dream was realized when he netted $50,000 in just one week. At the end of just one more week, he was back to zero.
Since that time, he has sought advice from highly regarded Internet players, honed his skills, and regained his confidence. He now consistently sits in the top spots of online poker leader boards with his extremely aggressive play and by-the-instincts rather than by-the-math strategies.
Mizzi has parlayed his Internet winnings into buy-ins and deep cash wins in some live tournaments, as well. His finishes include on in the 2006 Ultimate Bet Aruba Poker Classic championship event (10th place, for $29,800) and, most recently, the 2007 Irish Open where he took third place and pocketed more than $280,000.

Is Chad "M8kingMoves" Batista the Best Online Tournament Player Ever?
This question is sure to draw some strong responses.
I am not sure if I can think of an online poker player who is more polarizing than Chad Batista. People seem to really love him or really hate him.
You can't deny the fact that he is one of the most successful online poker players EVER. As a matter of fact, you could strongly argue that he is the most successful online tournament player ever.
What about Annette_15? Johnnybax? Imper1um?
All ultra successful tournament players, but I believe that "Lilholdem954" has the most impressive achievements (remember, I said online achievements, I really that Annette won the WSOPE) out of any online poker player that you put up against him.
Let's take a quick look at his list of accomplishments:
-over 1.2 million in cashes on PokerStars alone
-over $570k in cashes on Full Tilt Poker Poker, including a 212k this past summer
-took down a $600 Sunday tournament on Party Poker for 210k and chopped another one. All told he has around $500k in total cashes on Party Poker as well.
-has won both a $1k Monday tournament on Full Tilt Poker and a Super Tuesday $1k tournament on Pokerstars
-how many $100 Rebuy tournaments has he won on PokerStars?
I mean, all told Batista has around $2.2 million in cashes online. He is just ridiculously consistent and seems to win something big every couple of days.
You could make extremely solid cases for Annette_15, Imper1um or Johnnybax being the best online tournament players ever. Imper1um also has a ridiculous number of cashes on PokerStars, plus he has two FTOPS victories (one under kristy_sea, and one under Imper1um.) Imper1um has a spectacular track record, and you could easily argue that he is the best online MTT player ever.
Annette_15, if she continues to play a decent volume if tournaments online, will no doubt probably be considered the top all-time player online in a year or two. In addition to scores of wins on PokerStars, she also just recently took down a huge score on Full Tilt Poker Poker. The first of many I am sure.
And Johnnybax has to be considered as well, considering he was easily the most consistent winner online in the past, but doesn't seem to be putting in the same volume as of late.
When I consider everything though, I have to say that Batista is the most successful player online ever, and Mizzi is a close second? What do you think?
PLAYER BIO
Chad “m8kingmoves” Batista is anything but a typical poker player. For starters, he’s got grills for his teeth and looks like a teenager. Also, his speech is a unique mixture of profanity and sincere politeness. He’ll sling around profanity when talking about innocuous subjects but turn genuinely ultra-polite when it matters. Oh, and he’s also incredibly good at poker. In short, he’s ESPN’s dream player.
Batista is very open about the fact that he’s been to jail and has had experiences in his life that he’s less than proud of. Regardless of his past, he’s cited poker as one of the influences that have helped him become a better person. Some other things he’s not ashamed to admit are that he hasn’t had schooling past the seventh grade and that he’s never read a poker book in his life. He says that everything he does in poker is based upon instinct, not odds.
And it seems to be working for him. In the month of July 2007 alone, he won around $400,000 online. The largest chunk of this came from his first-place finish in the first-ever monthly $1 million guarantee on Full Tilt Poker, for which he earned $213,000. He is easily one of the top-earning tournament players online right now.
As far as live tournament winnings, Batista has earned over $400,000. His two biggest cashes were for a first-place finish ($262,000) in the 2006 WSOP Tournament Circuit event at Caesars Indiana and a fifth-place finish ($129,000) in a $1,000 (with rebuys) no-limit hold’em event at the 2007 World Series of Poker.

Chris Vaughn Wins Back to Back Sunday Million Tournaments
Chris Vaughn pulled off one of the most impressive accomplishments ever in online poker, winning the Full Tilt Poker Poker $1 Million dollar Guaranteed tournament one weekend, and then winning the Sunday Millions tournament on PokerStars the very next weekend.
No matter how good of a player that you are, this is a nearly impossible task to accomplish. Consider the fact that thousands of players registered in each tournament, and then consider the fact that you need to get lucky at least a handful of times during the tournament to win. Also, you need to dodge bad beat situations where you get in with the best of it, only to get sucked out by your opponent.
Chris Vaughn's accomplishment is a blend of great poker play and incredible luck. Statistically speaking, it is virtually impossible for a player, no matter how talented, to win back to back tournaments considering the size of the fields.
Chris Vaughn won the Full Tilt Poker Poker $1 Million Dollar guaranteed tournament under the alias of "BluffMagCV", and then took down the PokerStars Million the very next weekend under the moniker of "SlippyJacks."
Can Chris Vaughn possibly win a Sunday major three weekends in a row? He'll certainly be trying.
