Team Full Tilt Poker & PokerStars erhalten Zuwachs

Verfasser: Christian Breitbach

Tom "durrrr" Dwan Wins a Half Million in One Day on Full Tilt

Playing at Full Tilt Poker poker room According to Highstakesdb.com, Tom "durrrr" Dwan cleared over a half million dollars on Full Tilt Poker Poker yesterday.

Almost all of this profit came while playing high stakes Pot Limit Omaha. Most of the profits came from two very big hands, one with Patrik Antonius, and one with "ICallSoWhat". In both hands, Dwan had aces. Who says that Aces never hold up in Pot Limit Omaha?

Towards the end of his session, Dwan had over a million dollars spread out over a handful of Pot Limit Omaha tables. On one table he had a stack of over $530k, and on another table he had over $300k.

His first big hand came against Patrik Antonius. Dwan was in the big blind, and Antonius had the button. "ICallSoWhat" was in the small blind and raised - Dwan and Antonius both called.

The flop came 4-A-Q rainbow. Antonius and Dwan quickly got into a raising war, and "ICallSoWhat" exited the hand. When all of the money was in the middle of the table, Dwan turned up A-9-A-K, and Antonius turned up 10-Q-2-Q. Both players had flopped a set. Antonius was drawing very thin at this point - he could either hit the case Queen for Quads, or K-J for a runner-runner straight. There was no flush possibilities on the board. The turn and river brought the 6 and King of clubs, and Dwan won the monster $289k pot.

After that, there was an even bigger pot. Dwan was the Big Blind again, and at this point had a stack of over $400k. There was a pre-flop raise from "Urindanger", "ICallSoWhat" called in the small blind, and Dwan raised it again. "Urindanger" folded, and "ICallSoWhat" called.

The flop was seemingly a good one for "ICallSoWhat". It came 3-K-5 with two diamonds. "ICallSoWhat" had A-K-2-2 with the King and Two of diamonds for the second nut flush draw, plus he had top pair, a gutshot straight draw and a backdoor flush draw (spades). It's not a surprise that "ICallSoWhat" quickly shipped his money into the middle. He was surprised to see Dwan show 6-A-10-A for a pair of aces and the nut flush draw. The turn and river brought the ten of hearts and the Jack of clubs, and Dwan took down the monster $311k pot.

Since the beginning of 2008, Dwan is the third biggest winner on Full Tilt Poker Poker with a total profit of $2.37 million dollars.

SteveSung, OnTheRize Leading The Way in Full Tilt Poker Cash Games This Month

"SteveSung" is currently leading the way in the high stakes cash games on Full Tilt Poker Poker this month, as he has currently banked a total of $720k in profit as of July 13th. These profits have come over a total 3352 hands and 117 sessions, according to HighStakesDB.com. "SteveSung" is currently up about $1.35 million dollars on the year.

Next on the list of the biggest cash game earners on Full Tilt Poker in July is "OnTheRize". "OnTheRize" has currently made approximately $604k in July, with all of this profit coming from the high stakes Pot Limit Omaha games. "OnTheRize", according to HighStakesDB, has made this money over just 22 sessions and 1,327 hands.

The top five is rounded out by "War Stories" (+$509k), David "Aeron73" Benefield (+$509k) and Phil Ivey (+$466k). Benefield also had a deep run in the 2008 World Series of Poker main event, eventually finishing in 73rd place.

There are some more well-known names in the top ten list of most profitable players so far in July, including: "ICallSoWhat" (+$412k), Jason "pr1nnyraid" Rosenkrantz (+$331k) and Phil "OMGClayAiken" Galfond (+$259k).

The list of the top ten cash game losers on Full Tilt Poker in July is populated by some very well-known names.

First off, "patatino" is currently the biggest loser on the site in July, having dropped a staggering $1.524 million dollars in just 13 days.

Patrik Antonius is not faring much better. After recently signing a deal with Full Tilt Poker Poker, Antonius went on a solid run, but has since given all of that profit back, and then some. Antonius is currently down over $1.2 million dollars in the month of July. July has not been a good month for Antonius, and he is probably on a bit of tilt right now.

Next up is David Benyamine, who has given back over $830k to the high-stakes poker economy in the past few weeks. This comes after an incredibly strong July for Benyamine, so don't feel too bad for him.

The remaining players on the list include: "Erik1223" (-$437k), David Singer (-$223k), John Juanda (-$204k) and Gus Hansen (-$197k). Hansen has had an absolutely appalling year on the site, having dropped a total of $1.907 million dollars.

It appears as though HighStakesDB.com is now tracking the high stakes Omaha Hi/Lo and H.O.R.S.E. games on the site, which should make these reports much more accurate in terms of what players are actually winning and losing.

David Benyamine, LoLiNa Most Profitable In FTP Cash Games This Month

David Benyamine, "LoLiNa" and Gus Hansen are all putting in strong months on Full Tilt Poker Poker so far this month. Benyamine is having an especially strong month, having earned just over $1.07 million dollars so far in August. "LoLiNa" has made approximately $833k in the high stakes cash games, while Hansen had added an additional $634k to his summer profits.

This summer has been especially kind to David Benyamine. Not only is Benyamine up over $1.7 million since the beginning of June, but he has also done extremely well in live tournament action. Since the beginning of June, Benyamine has over $1.5 million in live cashes, including his first WSOP bracelet in the $10k Omaha Hi/Lo Championship, and a second place finish at the Bellagio Cup IV Main Event (which was good for over $840k.

Gus Hansen has completely turned around his year online by earning an estimated $1.793 million dollars since the beginning of June. Hansen has gone on an incredible tear, erasing his million dollar plus losses on Full Tilt Poker over the course of just a few months.

"LoLiNa", as mentioned, has also had a strong August, posting a total profit of $833k over 10,492 tracked hands (information courtesy of HighStakesDB, link below). "LoLiNa" has posted a total profit of $1.64 million dollars since the beginning of June.

Other players who have had a strong month so far include: "sunra18" (+$586k), Tom "durrrr" Dwan (+$400k) and Brian Hastings (+$381k).

On the flip side - the biggest loser so far in August is "SteveSung", who has posted a total loss of $728k for the month. Even with this loss, "SteveSung" is still up approximately $350k on FTP in 2008.

"patatino" has dropped an additional $680k to the high stakes cash games in August, bringing his total losses for the year up to a staggering $2.8 million dollars.

That's bad, but not as bad as "lady marmelade". "lady marmelade" has dropped over $3.1 million dollars so far in 2008 over 25,891 tracked hands. This means that "lady marmelade" has lost an average of $120.33 for every hand that he has played on Full Tilt Poker in 2008. "patatino" and "lady marmelade" are both rumored to be accounts that belong to billionaire Guy Laliberte. It's hard to think of anyone else that could sustain such huge losses but still keep playing.

Other well-known names that have had weak months on Full Tilt Poker include:

David Singer (-$411k), Eli Elezra (-$349k), "pr1nnyraid" (-$321k) and Allen Cunningham (-$243k).

Two $600k+ Pots on Full Tilt Poker Poker in One Day; Benyamine Nearly Wins a Million

The record-breaking breaking pots in the $500/$100 "RailHeaven" game just keep coming and coming. The (temporarily) record-breaking pot between Tom "durrrr" Dwan and Peter W Jepsen last week is now a distant memory, as there were three pots today that shattered the old record.

The new record now belongs to a pot that involved "patatino" (rumored to be Guy Laliberte) and Hac "trex313" Dang. The total pot size between these two players was $609,730. There were three players involved in the hand pre-flop; "trex313", "patatino" and Phil "OMGClayAiken" Galfond. On a flop of T-6-8 (with two diamonds), Dang and "patatino" got their $300k stacks in the middle. "trex313" held J-9 of diamonds for a flush and straight draw, while Laliberte held Q-2 for a higher flush draw. The turn was the 2 of hearts and the river was a blank, and "patatino" won the record-breaking pot with a lowly pair of twos. For a more comprehensive run-down of the hand, please click here.

Later in the day, Patrik Antonius and David Benyamine got involved in a pot that nearly broke the record for the biggest ever online pot. The total pot size ended up being $604,247, which ended up falling just a bit short of the record.

Before the hand, Benyamine had a stack of $557,483.75, and Antonius had $301,874 in front of him. "PrtectYaNeck" was the only other player at the table at the time.

Antonius raised to $3,500 pre-flop from the button. Benyamine, in the Big Blind, re-raised to $16,000. Antonius called.

The flop came 6-J-T rainbow. Benyamine bet $28,000, and Antonius called.

The turn was the ace of Clubs. Benyamine checked, Antonius bet $54,000, Benyamine re-raised to $312,000, and Antonius called for the rest of his stack.

Benyamine had A-A for a set of Aces, and Antonius had 6-6 for a set of sixes. The river was a harmless Queen of hearts, giving Benyamine the massive $600k+ pot.

Benyamine completely dominated the table, and nearly ran up his initial buy-in to $1 million dollars. All told, Benyamine made somewhere in the neighborhood of $800k-$900k on the session (we'll know the exact numbers later tonight). He left with a stack just short of one million dollars.

"trex313" was involved in another big pot on Friday, besting Tom "durrrr" Dwan in a $522k pot when "trex313" rivered a set of Queens. The board read 5-J-9-2-Q. Dwan had flopped a set of Jacks, but Dang took the lead on the river and took down the massive pot.

The game is still running at this time, and will likely run for as long as "patatino" decides to play.

Full Tilt Poker Cash Games: Ivey Still On Top in September

September is not even half over, and already there are three players who have made a million dollars worth of profits in the high stakes cash games on Full Tilt Poker Poker. They are: Phil Ivey, David Benyamine and Hac "trex313" Dang.

Phil Ivey is far out in front with a total profit of just over $1.853 million dollars. David Benyamine, fresh off of an amazing one-day performance on "RailHeaven" that saw him leave the table with a near million dollar stack, is up $999k in May so far. Hac "trex313" Dang, who is a frequent participant in the "RailHeaven" games as well on FTP, is up $999k as well.

These three players are the three winningest players on Full Tilt Poker Poker year to date as well. David Benyamine has earned an estimated $4.475 million on the site since January 1st, 2008, Phil Ivey has made approximately $4.02 million, and "trex313" has banked around $2.84 million dollars.

The always-volatile "Ziigmund" has had an upswing this month, making an estimated $477k, while "The_Houdini" rounds out the top five with a total profit of $370k.

The biggest loser so far in September is "elmariachimacho", who has dropped an estimated $759k over 6,275 hands.

Next up on the list is "theASHMAN103", who has seen his bankroll take a $645k hit in September over 6,101 tracked hands. "patatino", widely rumored to be an account that is used by Guy Laliberte, has lost an estimated $587k in September. "patatino" has been a fixture in the big $500/$1000 NLHE games that have been running in September, and this loss came despite a session on "RailHeaven" where "patatino" banked over $500k.

The bottom five so far in September is rounded out by "LoLiNa" (-556k) and "pr1nnyraid" (-555k).

These results include the first 13 days of September, and as always are provided by HighStakesDB.

"Ziigmund" Torches Patrik Antonius to Amass A Million Dollar Stack

Ilari Sahamies, better known as "Ziigmund" on Full Tilt Poker Poker, was the first player to ever top the $1 million dollar mark on "RailHeaven" earlier today.

"RailHeaven" is the $500/$1000 high-stakes No Limit Hold'em cash game that occasionally runs on the site. The table usually features some of the best players in the world, including Phil Ivey, Patrik Antonius, David Benyamine and Tom "Durrrr" Dwan.

A few players have come close to topping the magical $1 million dollar mark on the table in the past. David Benyamine has amassed a stack of over $900k a couple of times, but has never pushed over the seven-figure mark. Players such as Tom "durrrr" Dwan, "patatino" and Phil Ivey have also had days where they have done very well on the table, but none of them were ever able to top $1 million dollars.

"Ziigmund" accomplished that feat earlier today, just barely topping seven figures after winning a pot off of Phil Ivey. "Ziigmund" accomplished the feat while sitting three-handed with Phil Ivey and Patrik Antonius.

One of his big hands came against Patrik Antonius. Antonius held AK and "Ziigmund" held pocket eights. The flop came Q-K-4, and Antonius was well ahead in the hand. However, the turn was the eight of hearts, and soon both players had all their chips in the middle. Antonius saw the bad news - he was drawing dead in a $408k pot. The river was the meaningless nine of spades, and "Ziigmund" was shipped the monster pot.

"Ziigmund" also took a $200k pot off of "mastrblastr". After a flop of 2-5-6, both of the players got their chips in the middle. "Ziigmund" held 5-6 for two pair, and "mastblastr" held pocket Queens for an overpair. The two pair held up, and "Ziigmund" was shipped the $200k pot.

"Ziigmund" got his day off to an excellent start after taking a $391k pot from Patrik Antonius. The board read 10-3-A-8 with two diamonds. "Ziigmund" led out with a bet on the turn, and Antonius re-raised him enough to put "Ziigmund" all in. "Ziigmund" called and showed A-Q for top pair, while Antonius showed the 4-5 of diamonds for a flush and gutshot straight draw. The river was the harmless five of spades, and "Ziigmund" was shipped the $400k pot. His run to a million dollars had begun.

"Ziigmund", after getting off to a horrible start in 2008, has completely turned things around as of late. It will be interesting to see what his total profit ends up being after he concludes today's session.

WTF? Ruf mal schnell einer bei Full Tilt Poker an! Da stellt er alles mit 5 high Flushdraw + Gutshot rein und Top Pair hält! Der "Zufallsgenerator" ist kaputt!

"Ziigmund" Has Been Dominating "RailHeaven" At the Expense of Patrik Antonius

After just six days of action, the volatile and high-variance Finnish poker player is up a ridiculous $1.43 million dollars over just 3364 hands. "Ziigmund", who is known as a high-stakes Pot Limit Omaha specialist, has made most of his money in "RailHeaven", the $500/$1000 No Limit Hold'em game that occasionally runs on Full Tilt Poker. "Ziigmund" was the first player in "RailHeaven" history to ever accumulate a stack of over a million dollars on the table. The feat was made even more impressive by the fact that he accomplished this feat with both Phil Ivey and Patrik Antonius, two of the best poker players in the world, sitting at the table.

"Ziigmund", after getting off to a horrible start in 2008, has now recorded a total profit of $1.503 million dollars on Full Tilt Poker Poker this year.

Gus Hansen has had the second best October of anyone on Full Tilt Poker, having posted a total profit of $640k over the first six days of the month. Third place on the list belongs to "world1969", who has posted a total profit of $607k, while fourth place belongs to "kinexxx". "kinexxx" has made a total of $416k over 2,590 hands in October.

Phil Ivey rounds out the top five with a total profit of $207k in October. Ivey has made more money than anyone else on Full Tilt Poker Poker since the beginning of the year, having racked up over $4.6 million dollars in profits over 68,114 tracked hands. This means that Ivey has averaged over $67 in profit for every hand that he has played on the site in 2008.

Patrik Antonius has lost the most money in October on Full Tilt Poker. Antonius has dropped a total of $764k on the site during the first six days of October, and much of this was at the hands of "Ziigmund" on "RailHeaven". If you review some of the biggest hands on "RailHeaven" in October, you will see that Antonius was on the losing end of most of them.

Second on the list is "PixKim", who has lost a total of $359k over 7,217 hands in October.

Third place belongs to Tom "durrrr" Dwan, who has dropped a total of $357k on the site in October. Dwan has been on a downswing as of late, but is still up over $1.7 million dollars on Full Tilt Poker in 2008.

The top five is rounded out by "GrindMode" (-$318k) and "halfdozen999" (-$297k).

Antonius Up Almost $1.7 Million Dollars So Far in November

The high-stakes cash games on Full Tilt Poker Poker have certainly cooled off as of late.

Names such as Phil Ivey, Tom "durrrr" Dwan and Hac "trex313" Dang have not been playing much this month. Ivey has been the most active of the three, having put in a total of 4,438 hands so far in November. October was an unbelievably active month in terms of high-stakes action, while November seems to be the exact opposite.

Patrik Antonius has had a strong month in November, having made around $1.66 million dollars over 14,085 tracked hands. Most of his profits ($900k) have come from the high-stakes HORSE games on FTP. The "Patrik Antonius" account is now up around $1.6 million dollars in 2008.

Ilari "Ziigmund" Sahamies has made approximately $933k so far in November. This profit has come over just 2,991 tracked hands, meaning that "Ziigmund" has banked around $311 in profit for every hand that he has played this month. Around half of the $933k in profit has come from the high-stakes NLHE cash game tables. "Ziigmund" is up around $1.86 million dollars in 2008.

The top five most profitable players of November are rounded out by some familiar names, including: David Oppenheim (+$721k), Phil Ivey (+$588k) and "world1969" (+$565k). Phil Ivey is up almost $7 million dollars on Full Tilt Poker Poker in 2008.

Some other familiar names have had six-figure months on the site, including: Eli Elezra (+$544k), Brian Hastings (+$196k), David Singer (+$169k) and Nick Schulman (+$125k).

The top loser on Full Tilt Poker so far in November is "lady marmelade". "lady marmelade", an account that is rumored to belong to Guy Laliberte, is down $1.17 million dollars over 2,788 hands in November. The "lady marmelade" account is down over $6.5 million dollars in 2008. The lack of high-stakes action in November can likely be attributed to the absence of Guy Laliberte for most of the month.

John Juanda is next up on the list, having dropped $1.07 million dollars of his bankroll to the high-stakes economy in November.

Third on the list is "MR B 2 U SON", which is apparently David Benyamine's new account on the site. David Benyamine is no longer a "red" Full Tilt Poker pro, and is widely rumored to be on the verge of signing a sponsorship deal with another site. "MR B 2 U SON" is down over $953k so far in November.

"LarsLuzak" (-$736k) and "La Key U" (-$593k) round out the top five.

Isaac Baron (-$307k) and Gus Hansen (-$176k) have also gotten off to poor starts so far this month.
