Die Aussie Millions dürfte nach der WSOP wohl eines der wichtigesten Live-Turniere des Jahres sein. Die diesjährigen Aussie Millions finden
vom 06.01. bis zum 19.01. im Crown Casino in Melbourne statt. Hier die offizielle Bekanntmachung:
The cards, the cash, the cameras… you’re invited to experience Poker at its very best as Melbourne’s renowned Crown Casino in conjunction with Fox Sports Net hosts the Southern Hemisphere’s richest poker event – the 2007 Aussie Millions.
This January, join the world’s Poker elite in their quest for a slice of the multi million dollar prize pool on offer in the 2007 Aussie Millions $10,000 buy-in Main Event.
Filmed and broadcast to an international audience by Fox Sports Net and set within Crown’s newly refurbished 50 table Poker Room, the five day (two day 1 flights) Main Event begins on Sunday 14 January and is expected to generate a prize pool in excess of AU$6,000,000.
In the lead up to the Main Event, players can compete in daily satellites or choose from an impressive line up of cash tournaments on offer including the opening $1,000 buy-in No Limit Holdem tournament, the $100,000 Holdem Eventl, the Australian Heads Up Championship or the new Feature Holdem Event to name a few.

2011 Aussie Millions Poker Championship gestartet
oeben wurden mit dem Event 1 die 2011 Aussie Millions Poker Championship eingeläutet. Poker satt, so könnte man die kommenden Tage und Wochen bezeichnen, denn von heute an bis zum 30. Januar gibt es im Pokerroom des Crown Casinos in Melbourne die Gelegenheit an unzähligen Events teilzunehmen. Neben dem Main Event (Buyin AU$10.500), welches vom 23. bis 29. Neben den vielen bekannten australischen Namen wie z.B. Tony G, Joe Hachem oder Lee Nelson, wird auch Vorjahressieger Stewart Scott wieder am Tisch platznehmen.
